Look Ahead to the Return of the Rock River Anything That Floats Race in 2024!
More than just an homage to the incredibly popular raft races of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s - the Rock River Anything That Floats Race is a novel tradition for new generations of Rockfordians to love and experience.
Entry fees for rafts is $100. All proceeds will benefit the Rockford Fourth of July and Holiday Lighting efforts, the Rock River Trail Initiative and the Ski Broncs.
Race day is the best day for shipmates and spectators, alike. The race course is 1.65 miles in length and ends in a grand finish at Prairie Street Brewing Company. If you want to view the race, there are many excellent vantage points on both banks of the river, but most veteran race watchers line the east bank from the Auburn Street Bridge south to Prairie Street Brewing Company along the Rock River Bike Path. Check the map and schedule for handy details like parking lot and refreshment locations.
Join us from Noon - 3:00pm on the Docks at Prairie Street Brewing Co and Release the Quackin! Using our giant Dockside Slingshot,racers and fans can fire Rubber Ducks at a floating offshore target in the middle of the river to win valuable prizes. Learn more, click here!
Bring your picnic baskets or enjoy concession served by local City Market vendors at the Symbol parking lot just south of the Auburns Street bridge, the Nicholas Conservatory and on the grounds of the Prairie Street Brewing Company all day long.
A festive post-race party will follow race award ceremonies on the docks at Prairie Street Brewing Company and indoors, as well.
